Twyford Water Treatment Works (Scheduled Ancient Monument)

OJP Contracts recently completed a significant project at Twyford Water Treatment Works, a scheduled ancient monument and an important piece of heritage infrastructure.

Working on such a historically sensitive site required exceptional care, precision, and respect, alongside our commitment to safety, quality, and delivering long-lasting results.

The works involved the removal of the existing flooring and handrail, followed by the installation of new steel beams, durable chequer plate flooring, and a new safety handrail. Throughout the two-week programme, our team utilised a Telehandler to ensure materials were handled efficiently and the project progressed smoothly from start to finish.

Once the main installation was complete, we prepared the chequer plate flooring surfaces, applied primer, and finished with a durable black anti-slip coating to ensure maximum safety and longevity. The project concluded with a full site clean and the removal of all waste, leaving the facility ready for continued operation.

This was a major team effort on a high-priority and historic building, delivering essential infrastructure that communities rely on every day while ensuring the preservation of an important heritage site.
